How is NEOSPORIN® NEO TO GO!® First Aid Antiseptic/Pain Relieving Spray different from NEOSPORIN® Antibiotic Ointment or Cream?
NEO TO GO® Antiseptic/Pain Relieving Spray contains an antiseptic (Benzalkonium Chloride) and a pain relieving agent (Pramoxine Hydrochloride) as active ingredients to help prevent infection and temporarily relieve pain or discomfort in minor cuts, scrapes and burns. This product has been specially designed for easy, one-handed use and features packaging that resists crushing.
NEOSPORIN® + Pain Relief Antibiotic Cream and NEOSPORIN® + Pain Relief Antibiotic Ointment contain Pramoxine Hydrochloride and are indicated to temporarily relieve pain or discomfort in minor cuts, scrapes and burns. The cream contains two antibiotics (Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates) and the ointment contains three antibiotics (Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates and Bacitracin Zinc) to help prevent infection.
Original NEOSPORIN® Antibiotic Ointment contains three antibiotics (Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates, and Bacitracin Zinc) to help prevent infection. It helps cuts heal faster than a bandage alone while minimizing the appearance of scarring. This formula is also available as NEO TO GO!® Antibiotic Ointment in packets designed for infection protection anytime, anywhere.
How is an antiseptic different from an antibiotic?
Both kill a broad spectrum of micro-organisms on the skin that could infect wounds. Antiseptics kill by broad activity, while antibiotics kill by specific modes of action.
Can I use NEOSPORIN® NEO TO GO!® First Aid Antiseptic/Pain Relieving Spray together with antibiotic ointments or creams?
There is no warning against using NEO TO GO!® Antiseptic/Pain Relieving Spray with topical antibiotic creams or ointments. However, you do not have to use multiple NEOSPORIN® products to help prevent infection. The spray kills a broad spectrum of micro-organisms on the skin that could infect wounds. Original NEOSPORIN® Antibiotic Ointment has also been shown to help wounds heal faster in comparison with a bandage alone while minimizing the appearance of scars, and this can add to the infection prevention benefit.
How should I use NEOSPORIN® NEO TO GO!® First Aid Antiseptic/Pain Relieving Spray?
- Press down on the trigger until white mist hole is revealed.
- Continue to press trigger firmly until mist is released.
You may need to prime the pump several times prior to first use. Be careful not to point toward eyes or face.
Since this is designed for people on the go, can I store it in my car?
Not for long periods. It is recommended that this product be kept close to room temperature which is typically between 68° and 77ºF (20° and 25ºC).
Can I use NEOSPORIN® NEO TO GO!® First Aid Antiseptic/Pain Relieving Spray for uses not on the label?
NEOSPORIN® NEO TO GO!® First Aid Antiseptic/Pain Relieving Spray is only indicated to help prevent infection and temporarily relieve pain or discomfort in minor cuts, scrapes and burns.
Can I use NEOSPORIN® NEO TO GO!® First Aid Antiseptic/Pain Relieving Spray if my spray is expired?
No. If your product has expired, please properly discard it and obtain new product.
Where can I find and read the expiration date on the NEOSPORIN® NEO TO GO!® First Aid Antiseptic/Pain Relieving Spray?
The expiration date can be found on the bottom right corner of the cardboard back as well as on the side of the spray canister itself.
Can I use NEOSPORIN® NEO TO GO!® First Aid Antiseptic/Pain Relieving Spray on an infant under two years of age?
The product is indicated for use on children 2 years and older. Please speak with your pediatrician if you have questions.
Can I use NEOSPORIN® NEO TO GO!® First Aid Antiseptic/Pain Relieving Spray on my pet?
No. We cannot recommend using these products on animals. Please contact your veterinarian.
Are there any animal derivatives in NEOSPORIN® NEO TO GO!® First Aid Antiseptic/Pain Relieving Spray?

Why do I have to let the area dry first before applying a bandage?
A dry area minimizes the chance of irritation and allows the bandage to stay on better.
